1963 Color Print Violet Crowned Hummingbird Sickle Leafed Orchid Animals HMX1 LX1 Working Conditions" This is an original 1963 color print by Rafael Montes de Oca of two members of the Amazilia Violiceps family, more commonly known as the Violet crowned Hummingbird. With an average length of 94 106 mm., the crown and rear part of this bird's neck are metallic bluish violet, with the underparts pure white. The beak is reddish, which fades to black at the tip. Violet crowned Hummingbirds have been seen from western and central Mexico, all the way to
