Zilveren mergboor, J.D. Ludwig, Utrecht, 1839 Titel:Default Title The bracket is provided withSilver marrow scoop made by the silversmith Jacob Dirk Ludwig from Utrecht. He used the maker's mark between 1817 and 1859. The marrow scoop was used to extract marrow from bones. This was considered a delicacy in the 19th century. The marrow scoop is marked with the crowned L maker's mark, second fineness mark, Minerva head mark, and year letter E for 1839. In good condition. Weight: 45. 8 grams. Length: 21. 5 cm.
